Bella Gajdos

Bella Gajdos was a four-year starter for the Poland Lady Bulldogs basketball team from the 2015–2018 seasons. During her career, the Bulldogs won outright conference championships in 2016 and 2018. As the team’s point guard, Bella broke the school’s all-time scoring record previously held by Candace Bates (2000), finishing her career with 1,303 points. She also set the school record for most points scored by a sophomore with 404 points.

Bella earned numerous individual honors throughout her high school career. As a freshman, she was named First Team All-Conference and Third Team All-Northeast Ohio. As a sophomore, she received First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Northeast Ohio, and Special Mention All-State honors. During her junior season, she scored her 1,000th career point and was selected First Team All-Northeast Ohio, First Team All-State, and was named to the Division II, District I Starting Five. As a senior, she again earned Special Mention All-Northeast Ohio and was selected to the Division II, District I Starting Five.

In the classroom, Bella maintained a 3.8 GPA and received the Scholar-Athlete Award during the 2017–2018 school year. After graduating, she remained involved in basketball, coaching high school girls basketball for six years, including three seasons at Poland alongside head coach Nick Blanch.

Bella studied Nutrition and Dietetics at Youngstown State University and earned a Master of Public Health degree in 2023. She currently works as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in the Boardman–Poland area.
