Becky Jasinski (1989)
Becky Jasinski enjoyed four years in Poland Seminary High School athletics playing both Softball and Soccer. Her high school sports career began during her freshman year, joining the Poland Seminary Men’s Junior Varsity Soccer team and pitching for Varsity softball squad.
During her sophomore year, Becky was part of the first ever Women’s Soccer program at Poland Seminary. She continued with the Women’s Soccer team throughout high school from its start as a club sport through its evolution into an official varsity sport, and lettered in the years that it qualified as a varsity sport. Becky was an All- Inter-County League Selection for two years in soccer, with Division I first team selection her senior year. Becky also served as the varsity team co-captain her senior year.
On the Bulldog Varsity Softball team, Becky served four years as pitcher and graduated a four-year letter woman. Becky’s high school pitching career ended with 36 official high school victories. These victories included three no-hitters, four one-hitters, twelve two-hitters, and eleven three-hitters. Regular high school season statistics also include 363 strike-outs in 339 innings with a .44 ERA during her junior year and a 1.07 overall high school ERA. As a pitcher, Becky was a Mahoning Valley Conference first team pitching selection in both her junior and senior years at Poland Seminary.
At the time of her graduation in 1989, Becky entered college at Youngstown State University with Softball and Academic scholarships.
