Bryn Kosco (1985)

Bryn Kosco was an outstanding two-sport athlete at Poland High School, earning three varsity letters in both baseball and golf.

In baseball, Bryn established himself as one of the greatest players in school history. He set eight school records, four season records, and four individual records. His career statistics included 12 home runs, 74 RBIs, a .486 batting average, 88 runs scored, 101 hits, and 20 stolen bases. As a senior, he hit an incredible .600, scoring 50 runs and collecting 51 hits in 27 games. A three-time All-Mahoning Valley Conference shortstop, Bryn was also named a High School All-American as a senior. His team reached the state semifinals during his sophomore year and the state finals as a senior while winning three Mahoning Valley Conference championships.

After high school, Bryn continued his baseball career at Oklahoma State University and North Carolina State University. He later played professional baseball for eight years, most recently with the Chicago Cubs' Class AAA affiliate.

In golf, Bryn was also a three-year letterman, adding to an exceptional athletic career at Poland High School.
