Becky Rudzik '89

Becky Rudzik, Class of 1989, was an outstanding distance runner who excelled in both Track & Field and Cross Country at Poland High School. She earned four varsity letters and received All-Conference honors in both sports all four years of her high school career.

Becky was a state qualifier every year in both the 800-meter and mile events, establishing herself as one of the area's premier distance runners.

Following graduation, Becky continued her athletic career at Youngstown State University (YSU), where she competed in Cross Country, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. She became YSU's top female runner for four years, served as team captain, and earned All-Conference honors.

During her collegiate career, Becky set Youngstown State records in the 800-meter and 3000-meter events and was recognized as the top female runner at the Notre Dame Invitational.

Becky's remarkable accomplishments at both the high school and collegiate levels earned her induction into the Poland Hall of Fame.
