Doug Hill '58
Doug Hill, Class of 1958, was a standout multi-sport athlete at Poland High School, excelling in both basketball and football. A three-year basketball letterman, Doug graduated as the school's second all-time leading scorer with 1,031 career points.
During his basketball career, he set Poland High School records for most points in a season (559), highest scoring average (25.4 points per game), and most free throws made in a game (17). As a senior, he scored a career-high 39 points in a single game and helped lead the Bulldogs to the 1957–58 Tri-County Championship.
In football, Doug was a two-year letterman who played defensive back, contributing to the Bulldogs' success on the gridiron.
Doug's exceptional scoring ability, record-setting basketball career, and contributions in football earned him induction into the Poland Hall of Fame.
