David Pavlansky

David Pavlansky served as head football coach at Poland High School from 1968 to 1978, building one of the most successful eras in the program's history. Over 11 seasons, he compiled an outstanding 76–32–2 record.

Coach Pavlansky guided the Bulldogs to the 1971 Tri-County League Championship with a perfect 10–0 record and later led the team to Mahoning Valley Conference Championships in 1975 (9–1), 1976 (6–4), 1977 (9–1), and 1978 (9–1). His 1971 team finished fifth in the state, while the 1975 team was ranked seventh in Ohio.

His coaching excellence earned numerous honors. He was named Coach of the Year by the Youngstown Touchdown Club in 1972 and by the Mahoning Valley Coaches Association in 1972, 1976, and 1978.

In recognition of his leadership and success, Coach Pavlansky was selected to coach in both the 1972 Ohio All-Star Game and the prestigious Big 33 Football Classic.
