Dan Scharville (1992)
Dan played baseball from 1989–1992. He was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs baseball team. As a catcher, he was selected Honorable Mention All-MVC his junior year. As a Senior co-captain, he was selected to the All-MVC First Team. He led the Dogs to a 17–3 record, MVC Championship, and Sectional Championship (1992). He batted .406 and had a fielding percentage of .963. As a Senior he was also selected to play in the Mahoning Valley All Star game and received the Matt Hardy Baseball Scholarship.
In football from 1989–1992, Dan was a two-year starter. He was Second Team All MVC as a Senior. He set the current school record for the longest kickoff return for a touchdown (93 yards).
Dan continued his baseball career at Allegheny College (1993–1996). Dan was selected Honorable Mention as a Junior and First Team as a Senior co-captain. During his collegiate baseball career the team compiled a 135–40 record and earned two trips to the NCAA Mid-east Regional Tournament.
