Frank Kolesar '59

Frank Kolesar, Class of 1959, was a three-year football letterman at Poland High School. He earned All Tri-County League honors as a junior and senior and received Honorable Mention All Tri-County League recognition as a guard during his sophomore season. As a senior, he was the team’s leading scorer, helping Poland finish as the Tri-County League runner-up, and concluded his high school career with 124 career points.

After high school, Frank attended New Mexico State University, where he was a four-year starter at fullback and guard. He also played in the 1960 and 1961 Sun Bowls, highlighting an outstanding collegiate football career.
