Alice Giering Archibald '33

Alice Giering Archibald, Class of 1933, was a four-year basketball letter winner at Poland High School. During her four-year career, her teams compiled an outstanding 47–4–1 record. Over her final three seasons, the team posted an exceptional 37–1 record and captured the Mahoning County Class B Championship in all four years.

A consistent high scorer and strong defensive player, Alice played a key role in one of the most successful eras in school history. One of her finest performances came when she scored 22 points to lead her team to its 35th consecutive victory, highlighting her impact as one of Poland High School's premier basketball players.
