Greg Delluomo

Greg Delluomo was a standout multi-sport athlete at Poland Seminary High School, receiving a total of five varsity letters in football and baseball. As a dominant force on the football field, Greg played Tight End and Defensive End, earning All-State First Team honors in 1998. He was named Metro Athletic Conference (MAC) Defensive Player of the Year and was selected to the MAC 1st Team All-League as a Defensive End. A true leader, Greg served as a Team Captain and helped guide the Bulldogs to the 1998 MAC Conference Championship with a 9-1 regular season record, and an appearance in the Ohio High School Athletic Association State Playoffs.

In baseball, Greg lettered twice while playing First Base, Third Base, and Pitcher. He was a two-time First Team All-Conference selection in the MAC for infield in both 1998 and 1999. His baseball team recorded a remarkable 21-3 season, winning Sectionals and finishing as District Runner-Up. A scholar-athlete, Greg was recognized with the MAC All-Conference Academic Award and was a member of the National Honor Society. He also served as a Student Council Representative for four years and participated in the Leadership Program for three years.

Greg’s athletic talent earned him a Division II football scholarship to Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, where he played Defensive End. He lettered in his second year before a back injury ended his playing career. Despite the setback, he continued to excel academically, later becoming an Academic All-American and graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. He went on to earn a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, Pennsylvania. Greg Delluomo’s excellence in athletics, leadership, and academics has left a lasting legacy at Poland Seminary High School!
