Hugh Bennett '38

Hugh Bennett, Class of 1938, was a talented multi-sport athlete at Poland High School, earning varsity letters in basketball, track, and baseball.

In basketball, Hugh was a two-year letterman, team captain, and the leading scorer during his senior season. He helped lead Poland to its first Mahoning Class B Championship and Sectional Championship, as the team finished with an impressive 17–4 record.

In track, Hugh earned two varsity letters, contributing to the school's successful track program.

In baseball, he was a one-year letterman, completing an outstanding three-sport athletic career at Poland High School.
