Jessica Marino (2000)
Jessica was a three-sport athlete excelling in soccer, tennis and track. Jessica was also a Junior Varsity Cheerleader.
In soccer, Jessica was a four year varsity letter winner and team captain as a senior. She earned 2nd Team All-Conference Honors as a junior and was also 1st Team All-Division and 1st Team All-District. As a senior, she was 1st Team All-Conference, All-District, and All-State. She led the Bulldogs to a 3rd round playoff appearance in 1999 and was named District Player Of The Year.
In track, Jessica joined the team as a senior and earned one varsity letter. In the long jump, she was a 2000 State Qualifier and set the school's record at 17 ft.
Marino also earned two varsity letters in tennis and was named team captain as a senior.
Upon graduation, Jessica accepted a soccer scholarship to University of Richmond where she played for four years and was team co-captain as a senior. She helped lead the Spiders to a NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in 2002 and scored the lone goal in a 1-0 upset over Clemson to advance in the first round of tournament play.
Post-collegiate, Jessica continued her athletic career in the sport of triathlon where she qualified and competed in the Ironman World Championships held in Kona, HI in 2013, finishing with a time of 10:32:23.
