Joe Raysor '31

Joe Raysor, Class of 1931, was one of Poland High School's premier track & field athletes and an outstanding sprinter. He set school records in both the 100-yard dash and the 220-yard dash, establishing himself as one of the fastest runners in school history.

Joe captured the Mahoning County Championship in both the 100-yard and 220-yard events. His success continued at the state level, where he placed third in the 100-yard dash and fourth in the 220-yard dash at the Ohio State Track Meet.

Joe's record-setting speed, county championships, and strong state performances earned him induction into the Poland Hall of Fame.
