Jason Ziegler '96

Jason played football and basketball all four years at Poland Seminary High School. In football, he was a three year starter on teams that won three consecutive league championships. Jason served as a Team Captain his Senior season. He received numerous football honors in both the 1994 & 1995 seasons that included being named each year: First Team All-Conference, First Team All-Northeast Ohio, First Team All-Quad County, First Team All-Mahoning Valley Playbook, and Honorable Mention All-State. Jason recorded over 20 quarterback sacks his Junior and Senior seasons. In basketball, he was a two-year letter winner and a starter on the 1996 Bulldogs team that was Conference and District Champions.

After high school, Jason went on to attend Ashland University where he played football for four years while earning a degree in Education. During that time, he was named Ashland’s Lineman of the Year twice, First Team All-GLIAC Offensive Lineman and also a Team Captain. Due to his positive experiences at PSHS, Jason chose to become an educator and coach after college.
