Mike Audi

Michael was a four-year letterman on the Boys’ Varsity Wrestling Team, compiling a school-record 125 career wins. As a junior, he was a state qualifier and earned the title of EOWL Wrestler of the Year. In his senior season, he captured EOWL, Sectional, and District championships, and made history as Poland’s first-ever state placer, finishing 7th in Ohio. He also received Academic All-Ohio honors.

In addition to his achievements on the mat, Michael was a three-year letterman in football, playing linebacker. As a senior, he served as team captain, leading the Bulldogs to a 9-1 regular season and a second-round playoff appearance. He was named All-Conference and was selected to participate in the Ohio vs. Pennsylvania All-Star Game.

Following high school, Michael attended Youngstown State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. During that time, he also gave back to his alma mater, serving as an assistant varsity wrestling coach at Poland for four years. After working as a nurse at the Cleveland Clinic, he pursued his goal of becoming a physician. Michael is currently attending Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) and is on track to earn his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in 2027.
