Colleen Moran Kepple '05

Colleen was a three-sport athlete for the Bulldogs, excelling in Cross Country, Track, and Soccer.

In Cross Country, she was a state qualifier in 2003 and 2004. She was the Suburban League Champion in 2004, the MAC Runner-Up in 2003, and the MAC Champion in 2004, breaking the course record.

In Track, Colleen was a four-time State Qualifier (3200m, 4x800m relay, and twice in the 1600m). She was the 2005 MAC Champion in the 1600m, 3200m, and the 4x800m relay; the 2005 District and Regional Champion in the 4x800m relay; and the 2005 Regional Champion in the 3200m. She placed in three events at the 2005 Ohio State Meet:

• 3rd in the 1600m
• 7th in the 3200m
• 3rd in the 4x800m relay

She is the school record holder in two events:

• 1600m — 5:09.52
• 4x800m relay — 9:34

Colleen went on to attend the University of Akron, where she was a three-year letter winner in both Track and Cross Country. She was a two-year Varsity Cross Country Team Captain and helped lead the Zips Track and Field team to Mid-American Conference Championships three years in a row in both indoor and outdoor track.

She received First Team All-Conference honors by winning the 3,000m race at the 2007 Mid-American Conference Championship. Her personal bests include:

• 18:04 (Cross Country)
• 4:57 (Mile)
• 9:53 (3000m)
• 17:28 (5000m)

After college, Colleen competed in several marathons and qualified for and participated in the 2011 Boston Marathon.
