Lesly Molaskey Lesnak '91

Lesly played softball four years for the Lady Bulldogs (1988–1991) and was a three-year letter winner, excelling in the pitching circle from 1989–1991. She was a key contributor hitting and led the pitching staff for the undefeated 1990 team, which won the MVC, Sectionals and Districts. Her senior year (1991), Poland repeated as MVC, Sectional and District Champions. Individually she was a unanimous 1st Team All-MVC Selection in 1990 and 1991; also in 1990 was 2nd Team All-State, 1st Team All-Northeast Ohio, and was awarded the Student Athlete of the Week (WYTV Channel 33).

She had 52 pitching appearances, starting 44 games from 1988–91 and won 41 of 44 games from 1989–91. Over her pitching career at Poland, Lesly recorded 273 strikeouts, 2 no-hitters, had a career ERA of .096 and added 2 saves. At the plate, she was just as tenacious with an on-base percentage of .538 and career batting average of .428.

For her efforts, Lesly earned a full athletic scholarship for softball from Youngstown State University. There she was a four-year letter winner, four-year All-Academic, and held multiple single-season records for hitting and pitching during her career (1991–1995).
