Rick Hunneke

Rick Hunneke earned a varsity letter each year while playing basketball at Poland High School. During the 1958–1960 era, he was selected as a First Team All-County player for four consecutive years. He was the Bulldogs' leading scorer and rebounder and served as a co-captain of the team. Following high school, Rick continued his basketball career at Mount Union College, where he lettered for four years.

After college, Rick spent 38 years with the YMCA, earning numerous honors throughout his career. In 1974, he was recognized as an Outstanding Young Man in America. He also served for one year on the YMCA National Council and dedicated 37 years of service to the Young Men's Christian Association.

Rick has also been active in community service, receiving recognition as an Outstanding Lion in Martinsville, Indiana, and serving with the Rotary Club of Lafayette, Indiana.
