Richard Wolf

Richard (Dick) Wolf was a three-sport letterman at Poland High School, earning four varsity letters in football, four in track & field, and two in basketball. In 1959, he was selected to the All-Tri County Football Team as an Honorable Mention. He attended Kent State University, where he played football for four years. In 1961, he earned Mid-American Conference Pass Receiving Champion honors and received All-MAC and All-American recognition. In 1962, he played in the East-West Shrine Game.

After graduating from Kent State in 1963, Wolf was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force. As an Air Force officer and pilot, he flew combat missions during the Vietnam War, earning numerous military decorations. He later served in leadership positions throughout the Air Force, including athletic administration and Olympic support roles.

Wolf earned a Master's Degree from Ball State University in 1976 and held positions such as Director of Facilities and Support, Director of Athletic Events for the USAFA, Director of Operations for the U.S. Olympic Festival, and later Pilot Technical Monitor at Hill Air Force Base in Utah.
