Steve Jackson (1973)

Steve Jackson was a versatile four-sport athlete at Poland High School, earning varsity letters in football, basketball, track, and tennis.

In football, he was a three-year letterman who set three school records, including the record for touchdown receptions in a game. As a junior, he helped lead the team to a 10–0 season and the Tri-County League Championship. He served as co-captain during his senior year, graduated as the school's ninth all-time leading scorer with 94 points, and earned a football scholarship to Penn State University.

In basketball, Steve was a two-year letterman. His teams won Tri-County League Championships, reached the Ohio Class AA State Semifinals during his junior season, and captured the Mahoning Valley Conference Championship in his senior year.

In track, he was a two-year letterman and helped his team win the Tri-County League Championship as a junior.

In tennis, Steve earned one varsity letter, and his team won the Mahoning Valley Tennis League Championship during his sophomore year.
