Shaun Saad '00

Shaun Saad, Class of 2000, was a three-year letter winner for the Poland Bulldogs football team from 1997 through 1999. A two-way starter at running back and linebacker, he earned First Team All-Conference honors during both his junior and senior seasons and was selected First Team All-State in 1999. Shaun still holds the school record for scoring five touchdowns in a single game. He was named the team’s Defensive Player of the Year in both 1998 and 1999, leading a defense that recorded six shutouts. He was also a key member of the 1999 undefeated Division III State Championship team, which finished the season with a perfect 15-0 record.

Shaun was also a three-year letter winner in baseball, where he played pitcher, third baseman, and outfielder. He earned First Team All-Conference honors as a pitcher during both his junior and senior seasons.

After graduating from Poland Seminary High School, Shaun attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania on a full football scholarship. He played linebacker for four years and was recognized as an NCAA Academic All-American, excelling both on the field and in the classroom.
