Tom Walsh '83

Tom Walsh, Class of 1983, was a three-sport letter winner at Poland High School, earning letters in track & field, football, and basketball. In track, he earned three varsity letters and, during his senior season, was named First Team MVC, won the Sectional Championship, and set a Poland High School high jump record of 6' 7¼". He also placed third at the Ohio State Track Meet. In addition, Tom earned two varsity letters in football and three varsity letters in basketball.

After graduating from Poland, Tom attended Clemson University, where he became a four-year letter winner in both indoor and outdoor track & field. He competed in the decathlon, helping Clemson capture the 1987 NCAA Indoor Track & Field National Championship.

Tom later earned a Master's Degree in Geology from the University of Toledo in 1990. He is a member of the American Institute of Professional Geologists and is a licensed Professional Geologist in Pennsylvania.
