Victor DiVito '72

Victor DiVito, Class of 1972, was a standout two-sport athlete at Poland Seminary High School, earning varsity letters in both football and baseball. In football, Victor was a two-way starter on the offensive and defensive line under legendary head coach David Pavlansky. He earned multiple varsity letters, was selected First Team All-Tri County as a senior, and was recognized as Lineman of the Week on numerous occasions. He helped lead the 1971 Bulldogs to a 10–0 regular season and a No. 5 state ranking in the Associated Press poll.

On the baseball diamond, Victor earned two varsity letters as the Bulldogs’ starting first baseman. He batted over .350 during his senior season and helped lead the team to a Sectional Championship.

After graduating from Poland, Victor earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Youngstown State University. He spent ten years in management at LTV before becoming a production supervisor at Packard Electric, where he worked until retiring in 2010. Following retirement, Victor founded Vic’s Tree Service, a successful business that continues to operate today under the ownership of his son. He is the father of two children, Victor and Alexandra.
